8 months!!

I just realized typing this title that I have 4 months to plan an epic 1st birthday party. I better get cracking.

This past month was full of fun and new things. First vacation to the Frio river with family, first airplane ride, first time in Kentucky daddy's home state, first bad cold, more teeth, new tricks like clapping and waving. Saying lots of Dada all the time...no mama yet :( July was a busy month with lots of new places and adventures for the girls and they handled it all pretty well.

I just love all of these pictures. Sloan LOVES the camera and Riley just kind of goes blank even though majority of the time Riley is the more smiley of the two. I secretly hope they never get top teeth because I really love these gummy grins.

Daddy and Friends Daycare

Saturday one of Matt's best friends John was in town and they were having some guy time but it was 100 degrees here so they decided to come back to our house and hang out in the pool. They got in with the girls and it was the perfect way to end our Saturday.

Some pictures of the fun

I love love love these pictures of Sloan and her daddy. They have matching baby blues!

T.G.I.F.

It was inevitable that when the girls started going to daycare they were going to get sick and sure enough 3rd week in and we were hit with nasty colds and pink eye. YUCK. I am happy to say we are already on the mend....it seemed like the girls had about 24 hours where they felt really bad and now they are kind of back to normal behavior wise they just have massive amounts of snot.

Bad Blogger

I know there are thousands of you out there that read this blog.....(by thousands I mean my family, in laws and maybe Lindley and Tara ) sorry for being MIA with the pictures and posts. Life has been unexpected lately and we have had some things happen that have been tough, since this blog is for the girls and I want to get it printed one day I won't go into it but I will say I hope my girls learn from life that tomorrow is never promised and that family and friends are the most important people in this world so they need to treat those they love like gold.

you are blessed every day by simply being

A day in our life 7.5 months

Life goes by so fast these days I want to remember what our daily routine is so we can look back and think "How did we do that?"

5:30am I wake up and get dressed for work
6-7am the girls wake up anytime and sometimes play in their cribs quietly or sometimes they let us know they are UP
7am I "try" to breastfeed both of them but lately Riley has refused and has started biting so she has been getting a bottle of breast milk
7:20am Matt takes over and gets the girls dressed and brings them downstairs, I head to pump
7:45am I finished getting dressed and Matt usually heads out the door with the girls to do the daycare drop off
8am Matt and I both head to work
12pm I pump at work (this is becoming more and more annoying but I am sticking with it for now)
4pm I should pump again but have been getting too busy lately to fit this in
5:15pm-5:30pm I pick up the girls or if Matt is working from home I swing by to get him and we go together
5:30pm-6:30pm We play with the girls, I wash and sanitize their 4 bottles from daycare, we FaceTime with family
6:30pm We start the bath time routine
7pm Bottles in babies mouths and then we read a few books
7:15pm Lights out!
7:30pm The girls may fuss a little but usually both are asleep no later than this time
7:30pm-8:30pm Matt and I fix dinner together or eat leftovers then clean it up
8:30pm I make all the bottles for the next day, pick up toys, clean more bottles and pump parts, laundry
9pm Final pump for the day while I watch trash TV or catch up on text messages
10pm Hopefully we are in bed asleep or at least watching TV.

Next day rinse and repeat. Whew I am tired just typing that.

Riley can wave

Sloan needs to learn to share :)

Sloan loves ice cream

Sloan learned at her grandparents house in Kentucky that she likes to put her head under the faucet

No matter how many times we squeaked this toy she jumped every time it was hilarious.
