10 Months!!!

Double digits....say it isn't so. It's okay you can't be sad for too long with these girlies around. Getting bigger comes with perks like more and more personality everyday. Sloan is so sweet and somewhat timid at first but once she gets used to the environment watch out! Riley is my sassy sweetie who can be ornery one second and melt you the next by leaning in for a kiss just out of the blue.

Both girls are crawling like mad and pulling up on anything and everything. Sloan has perfected the pull up and stand and today she even let go a few times and was free standing for a few seconds....she doesn't realize what she is doing but she is just getting braver and braver everyday. Riley is a speed crawler and you have to constantly watch her because she is more into regular household things than toys. Both these girls have an obsession with the dog water bowl and with mom's makeup of course...they can destroy a room in less than 5 mins.

I don't have any stats because we haven't been to the doctor lately but we go back Friday for a flu booster so I am sure we will get weighed then. I know they are growing because our clothes are getting tight and so are our diapers....I think we will be moving up to size 4's here before too long. I don't see how the girls couldn't be growing since they eat all the time. They eat 3 meals a day and get 4 bottles a day and I give them snack in between too, I feel like I am feeding them all the time. They also love to eat big people food, they always want a bite of what Matt and I are eating.

Birthday party planning has begun and I can't wait to watch them keep growing, I wonder if they will  be walking by the time they are one or if they will maybe do me a favor and hold their own bottle?

I won't lie these pictures weren't easy and there isn't one great one so I am just going to post them all!

Sloan and her Bebe last weekend, Sloan didn't mind wearing these sunglasses.

My sister buys the girls the cutest outfits and accessories...these are some of her best work.

Here is our attempt at the 10 month sticker pictures. You can see me and my assistant (Matt) had very unruly subjects.

Here are some videos from the weekend....these girls are funny to just sit back and watch.

We went to our friend Wade's 2nd birthday party and it was at a bounce house. I would say we are a tad small still but we enjoyed the company.

While Dad's away we will play!

Matt went on a little trip back to Kentucky last weekend and while his girls missed him we had fun with lots of family visitors.

Don't go Dada!

My mom, dad, and sister came Friday night to help me with the girls. Saturday uncle bubba and aunt Lo came by too.

A day in our life 9.5 months

I figured it was time for another day in our life post since sometimes I can't even remember how we get it all done in one day.

5:30am I wake up and get dressed for work, eat breakfast, warm bottles, drink coffee
7am Usually the girls are up by this point but sometimes we have to wake them up, change diapers, pick out clothes for the day
7:10am Feed girls bottles, get them dressed for the day, put them down to play while I finish putting on my work clothes,
Between 7:30am- 8am Matt takes the girls to daycare
8am-5pm Matt and I get to only worry about work and getting ourselves fed lunch
5:15pm I pick up the girls
5:30pm Get home unload the girls straight to the highchairs for dinner
6pm Dinner is over and its playtime/wash bottle time/ daddy gets home/try to keep them out of the dog water and anywhere else they aren't supposed to be
6:40pm Bath time- we do baths every night because its just part of the routine and these chicks are dirty at the end of the day
6:50pm Bottle time
7pm Books and snuggles then its lights out!

I'll do what a weekend day looks like next time!

Blah go away stomach bug

The McGowan house has been plagued by the dreaded stomach bug. But the good news is we survived.

Thursday night around 7pm Sloan got it and didn't stop vomiting until 10 then Riley got it around 2am and didn't stop until 6am then Matt and then myself. Luckily there was at least one of us healthy at a time to hold down the fort.

It was a rough few days but like all things it passed and fingers crossed we are all on the mend.
