7 months!

Lucky 7! 7 months on June 27th. I feel like time is flying by at warp speed (*hence the tardiness of this post) and these little ladies get more precious and fun by the day. This month brought changes to the McGowan house. I started a new job which has made my time with the girls even more precious and I had to travel for work for the first time since they were born and Matt did some solo nights with the girls and he did great. Two kids alone is rough….during the day it is manageable but at night when they are tired and cranky it can get challenging. Luckily he survived and the girls slept great for him. We have been swimming in the pool more and the girls are starting to really like it now that the water is warming up and with every passing day they love the dogs more and more. Riley loves Casey (our yellow lab) and gets so tickled when Casey licks her on the face or even walks by her and Sloan is very intrigued with Oli (our miniature schnauzer) and squeals when she seems him. The girls also survived their first colds….we almost made it to 7 months without getting sick but the pediatrician said it’s only helping to build their immune system. We have another big change coming too we are starting daycare June 30th. We have have had a wonderful nanny named Teresa since the girls were 12 weeks old and we will miss her everyday.

Sloan: 17.4 pounds as of June 21st
Riley: 17 pounds as of June 21st

Sloan: You are a pistol and curious about everything. You want to touch everything and put it all right into your mouth which keeps us on our toes. You love baby food and will eat mostly anything except for peas. You can't get it into your mouth fast enough. You are trying to crawl and do a version of an army crawl but I wouldn't say you are on the move just yet and I am in no rush for that day. You cut your first tooth (bottom center) the week you turned 7 months old and are working on the one right next to it as well.

Riley: I am not sure there is a sweeter baby in the world than you Riley Bear. You are just so sweet and happy 95% of the time. You wake up smiling and go to sleep smiling. You are so laid back which is the opposite of your sister. You are curious about everything to you just seem to go about it in a different way. You love to touch everything and scratch it with your fingers you are very tactile and are very infatuated with your own hands. You can pretty much wave bye bye now, your nanny Teresa taught you. You aren't on the move yet but you get up on all fours and rock like you are about to go somewhere. You cut your first tooth two days after Sloan and just like her you are working on the one right next to it.
